Mabyl Hanley, 92, of Marshall Junction died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She had been a resident of Fair View Nursing Home since July 8, 2008, and the family wishes to thank the staff for their kind care.
Private family inurnment will be in Ridge Park Cemetery, Marshall. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign a register book at Campbell-Lewis.
Born October 27, 1921, in Nelson, Missouri, Mabyl was a daughter of the late Howard A. and Lena Inglish Smith. On April 16, 1947, she married Foree Belwood, Jr. who preceded her in death on May 14, 1953. On August 23, 1960, she married Harry Hanley who preceded her in death on December 5, 2010.
She worked at the Post Office in Nelson and as a telephone switchboard operator in Nelson for United Telephone Company. Later she worked in the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service office in Marshall. For most of her life she was a homemaker on the family farm.
She is survived by a son, John Mark Belwood of Marshall Junction, a daughter, Marilyn Foree Belwood of Marshall, a granddaughter and several nieces.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
