Livingston, WI-Janet E. McLimans, age 98, of Livingston passed away on Monday morning Oct. 29, 2012 at Mineral Point Care Center in Mineral Point, WI. Janet was born on Feb. 9, 1914 in Millville Township, Grant Co., WI the daughter of Will and Florence Andrew. She was united in marriage to Donald McLimans.

Janet graduated as the Valedictorian from Livingston High School. She worked as a seasonal employee at the Cobb Canning Factory but her greatest love was her children and their families. Janet enjoyed babysitting for family and friends and volunteered her time with the Livingston Girls Scouts for many years. Janet was very close to her lord and was a member of the Livingston United Methodist Church where she enjoyed being part of the United Methodist Women and the church Bible study. She was a very giving person who took great pride in making patchwork quilts for her family and donating to various charities. Janet liked working in the garden, growing wild flowers and playing board games; especially scrabble. Janet's hard work throughout the community of Livingston along with her dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed.

Janet is survived by her four children; Donna (John) Bargo of Kalamazoo, MI, Bill (Donna Mae) McLimans of Livingston, Flo Ann (Carl) Kottke of Waupaca, and Paul McLimans of Frederick, CO, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law; Carol Andrew, and several nieces and nephews.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Donald on April 9, 1976, four brothers and three sister-in-laws; Parland (Alberta) Andrew, Walter (Midge) Andrew, John Andrew, and Harry (Genevieve) Andrew, a great-granddaughter Cassie Edwards, and a family dog Molly.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday Nov. 1, 2012 at the Livingston United Methodist Church in Livingston, WI with burial to follow in the Rock Church Cemetery, rural Livingston. Pastor John Oliver will be officiating. Friends and family may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Thursday morning. The Soman-Larson Funeral Home of Montfort is assisting the family.
