Mrs. Doane wa a homeopathic physician at Kansas City, MO, a woman of great energy and of more than ordinary business ability. She studied medical works while in the East, and practised medicine to some extent while they lived in Virginia. On their removal to Kansas about 1878, she was associated with Dr. Hudson, who was then the oldest and best homeopathic physician in that state, and upon his death succeeded to his extensive practice. When nearly fifty years old, she entered upon a regular course of studies and graduated with honors in March, 1890, at the Kansas City Homeopathic Medical College.

Supreme Court Opinions--Divorce Suits Instituted--In General
Helen C. Doane yesterday filed her petition with the clerk of the district court, commencing an action for divorce against Benjamin F. Doane, to whom she was married in April, 1858, at Murray, State of New York. She states that there are as issue of such marriage five children, the oldest 16 years of age; that the plaintiff and defendant have not lived together for seven years, and that the defendant has been guilty of extreme cruelty, failure to support and drunkenness. Plaintiff further alleges that she owns in her own right a quarter section of land in Douglas county, plaintiff prays divorce, custody of minor child, Benjamin F. Doane, and that she be decreed owner of said real estate.
