Forrest N. Easley, 90, of Gainesville, MO was born March 20, 1924 and departed his life on July 18, 2014 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Elda Easley, brother Don Easley, sons David and Steve Easley, and daughter Margaret Berry.

Forrest was born in Newton Kansas and grew up on a farm in New Mexico. He worked for the Department of Forestry for many years and went on to retire from the Department of Navy's research division. He served in the Army during World War II and recently went on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. He was an avid car collector and loved to restore antique cars. He also enjoyed his time as an amateur HAM radio operator and obtained the top license in the field. He was a great man who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife Marilyn of 26 years he is survived by his sister Jewell Darr, sons Jim and wife Dorris, Matt and wife Jennifer, daughters Pam and Victoria, step-sons David Bozarth, Brent Bozarth and wife Kelly, Mark Bozarth and wife Lisa. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 am at St. Williams Catholic Church in Gainesville, MO on Tuesday July 22, 2014. Pallbearers include Ed Burkhart, Ron Capetty, John Conine, Tom Duncan, Ed Guzik and Roger Stutes. A Visitation will be held Monday evening, July 21st from 5-7 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO. He will be laid to rest at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Riverways Hospice of OMC; 114 East Main; West Plains, MO 65775.
