Funeral services for Howard Huey Dumas will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Reverend Allen Eppinette officiating. Interment will be at Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, 2014 beginning at 1:00 P.M. until time for services at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Howard Huey Dumas was born December 6, 1936 in Oak Grove, Louisiana to the late Ethan Huey Dumas and Eva Mae Dumas.

He passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe following an extended illness.

Mr. Dumas is preceded in death by his parents, seven uncles, Charles, James, Ben, Bill, Thomas, and Tim Dumas, and an aunt, Velma Dumas King.

Howard is survived by two aunts, Dorothy Dumas and Maxine Dumas, eleven first cousins, Billy Degeyter and his wife, Peggy, Carolyn Thornburg and her husband, J.C., Charles Dumas and his wife, Linda, Leo Dumas, Danny Dumas, James Oliver Dumas, Janice Dumas, Benny Dumas and his wife, Patti, Scott Dumas and his wife, JoJean, Sandra Guillory and her husband, Leroy, and David Dumas.

Mr. Dumas is also survived by a host of extended family.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
