Mary was the second wife of Philip Adair and the mother of 4 children: James D., Elizabeth, Sarah Jane, and Margaret C.

Mary Polly was the daughter of James R. & Nancy Dwyer Sr. who migrated from Rockingham Co., VA to Highland Co. in abt 1811/12. After he dies in 1831, his land in New Petersburg is transferred by his widow and heirs including Philip Adair & Polly, H&W, by deed on 5 Sep 1834 to son Mark of Ross Co.
