" SHEARER—Mary Shearer, born in Jackson County Ohio, died July 22, 1899,
at the Athens Hospital for the Insane, where she has been a patient for 25 years.
She was about 78 years of age, and was the daughter of John Gillespie,
and the wife of P. S. Shearer, She was buried beside her husband in the
old Bundy grave-yard at Wellston, Ohio."
