A. Elaine Fike, 80, of Uniontown, Fayette County, Pa., died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born October 14, 1927, in New York City, New York, the daughter of the late George Just and Augusta Wurm Just. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Tedford E. Fike, in April of 2007, and a brother, George Just, Jr. Elaine graduated from Scarsdale High School, Scarsdale, New York, and studied at Syracuse for a year. She was a homemaker, devoted to her family. Elaine was a volunteer at the Uniontown Hospital, a member of the Green Gardeners of Uniontown, the Child Guidance Club, and a former member of the Uniontown Music Club. She was also a very active member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church, where she was also a member of the choir since 1951. Elaine is survived by her children: Russell Fike and his wife, Mary, of Uniontown, Susan Ritz and her husband, Rev. Joseph Ritz, of Connellsville, Fayette County, Pa., Claudia Billings and her husband, Robert, of Maumee, Ohio, and Mark Fike and his wife, Joy, of Uniontown; five grandchildren: Brad Fike, Kristen Fike, Gregory Fike, Caitlin Fike, and Leigh Hudson; and three great- grandchildren: Charley Fike, Rylan Fike, and Lukas Hudson. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where friends will be received today, March 20, 2008, from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, March 21, 2008, in the TRINITY UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, from 10 until 11 a.m., followed by a service celebrating her life at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael I. Orsted, officiating. Interment will follow in the Addison Cemetery, Addison, Somerset County, Pa. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Trinity United Presbyterian Church Organ Fund, 79 West Fayette Street, Uniontown, Pa., 15401.
