Irene F. Palillo, a former restaurant hostess and a retail store manager for the past 10 years, died Thursday (Aug. 14, 1998) in Roswell Park Cancer Institute after a brief illness.
Mrs. Palillo, 54, of 23rd Street, was born Irene Rufran in Niagara Falls. She was a 1962 graduate of LaSalle Senior High School.
She worked as a hostess for five years at John's Flaming Hearth Restaurant, Town of Niagara. She worked for 12 years in retail sales at Jenss Department Store in the Summit Park Mall, Wheatfield, and for the past 10 years was a retail store manager for Sara Lee in the Factory Outlet Mall, Town of Niagara. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Fred J.; a son Dana T. Greene Jr. of Manlius; a daughter, Tammy Bradshaw; her mother, Pauline Rufran, and a sister, Ann Marie Montoya, both of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's of the Cataract Catholic Church, 259 Fourth St., following prayers at 9 in the M.J. Colucci and Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
