STRICKLAN, BARBARA WATTS, age 79, of Madisonville, passed away 9:45 a.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Parkwest Medical Center. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She attended Hopewell Springs Baptist Church. Preceded in death by son, Reed Allen Stricklan, daughter, Susan Stricklan, parents, Homer and Margaret Watts, brother, James "Tater" Watts, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Duggan and Josie Stricklan, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bee, Leslie, Howard, Ernie, Billy Joe, Prudie and Mary Stricklan, Geneva Schwabe, Pauline Mitchell, Bonnie Tilley. Survivors: husband of nearly 60 years, Reed Stricklan; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Brooks Taylor, of Madisonville; grandchildren, Susan and Wesley Taylor, Lynn-Haven, FL, Will Ford, Phoenix, AZ, Jennifer Trodglen, Maryville, R.J. Ford, Florida; great grandchildren, Immanuel, Maliki, Alex, Darrien, William and Zoey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Bill Millsaps, Philadelphia, Jane and Irvin Moss, Richmond, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Boyd and Kate Watts, Madisonville, Gary Watts, Philadelphia, Janice Watts, Loudon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Reece Stricklan, Sweetwater, Raymond and Virginia Stricklan, Martha Stricklan, of Madisonville. Barbara was known as "Aunt Lou" to many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Chris Farmer, Rev. Tommy Self officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Hopewell Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
