Mr. Towler died Dec. 1, 2003, at Ada. He was born May 24, 1915, at Center to Jess Everett and Mary Bessie Freel Towler. He attended Lawrence Schools and was a Baptist.
He and Vera Bray were married Aug. 21, 1944, at Ada.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Joe Towler and Kim Towler.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Towler, of the home; a son, David Towler, Lamar, Ark.; a dauther, Linda Pearce, Ada; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
