Bodie peacefully left this earth to be with her Lord Jesus on Friday, July 25, 2014, leaving behind 6 children, 10 grandchildren, who called her, Grandmama, and 4 great grand children.

Bodie was born on November 26, 1930 in Austin, Texas to Roy and Malvina Daugherty. Her family lived in the Austin area before moving to Buda, Texas. After graduating from Buda High School, Bodie went to work for Southwestern Bell. Through friends there she met her first husband George (Dub) Park. Kay came into their lives in 1950. In January of 1953, George died in a work related accident and Bodie and Kay moved back to the family farm. Early in 1954, Bodie, while shopping for a cedar chest at the Modern Aire Furniture store she met Joe Winkley. Joe personally delivered the chest to Bodie in order to ask her out for a date. They were married on July 24, 1954, and raised six children together.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Winkley, her husband G.W. (Dub) Park, her parents, Roy and Malvina Daugherty; her daughter, M. Kay Park; her brothers, Roy Daugherty and Edgar Daugherty, and her brother-in-law, W. C. Kyle

She is survived by her children, Debbie Winkley Johnson and husband Richard of Austin; Linda Winkley Little and husband Robert of Rancho Viejo; Scott Winkley and wife Kelly of Richmond; Chuck Winkley and wife Lele of Austin; and Lisa Winkley Garcia and husband Oscar of Houston; grandchildren, Brandon Little of Dallas; Katie Zavaletta and husband Dave of Switzerland; Cole Winkley of Richmond; Nick Winkley of Richmond; Blake Winkley of New York; Ross Brown of Austin; Megan Converse and husband Jonny of Santa Barbara; Hayley Brown of Austin, Faith Winkley of Austin; Brandi Hockaday and husband Byron of Austin; and great grandchildren, Aria and Julian Zavaletta and Will and Nicole Hockaday and her brother Travis Daugherty of Wimberly.
Pallbearers will include Brandon Little, Blake Winkley, Ross Brown, Cole Winkley, Nick Winkley, and Daniel Rios.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm – 7:00pm, with a rosary at 7:00pm-8:00pm, Thursday, September 5th at Cook Walden Funeral Home at 6100 North Lamar in Austin.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, September 6, 2013 at Cook Walden Funeral Home at 6100 North Lamar in Austin with Father George Joseph officiating. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Dr
