JUAN MANUEL ARAUJO, 94, formerly of Fierro and Deming entered eternal rest on Friday, April 16, 2004 in Chino, CA.�
Visitation will begin at 4 pm on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at Baca?s Funeral Chapels followed by the Prayer Vigil beginning at 7pm led by Rev. Mr. David Casta�on.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, April 23, 2004 at St. Anthony?s Catholic Church in Fierro with Father Paulus Kao officiating.� The rite of committal and interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery.
He was born May 5, 1909 in Havana Cuba to Juan Francisco Araujo and Emilia (Alvarez) Araujo.� On March 3, 1937 he married Dominga Estrada in Lordsburg.� For 35 years they operated The Araujo Mercantile in Fierro where they were active in the community and devoted to the Catholic Church. After their retirement in 1976 they moved to Deming until her death in 1994 at which time he joined his daughter, Cecilia in Chino, CA.
Mr. Araujo is survived by his daughter, Cecilia Ojinaga and her husband, Anselmo of Chino, CA; a son, Juan Manuel Araujo, Jr. (Sonny) and his wife, Gertrude of Mimbres.� He is also survived by his grandchildren Michael Araujo, Timothy Araujo, Teresa Rose Araujo, Paul, John, and Thomas Ojinaga; 10 Great-Grandchildren.� After the death of his wife, Dominga in 1994, ?Little Moe? a stray dog came to his house and became his faithful companion.
