Our loving brother, Garry LaVon North, 74, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014. He was born on July 2, 1940 in Malad, ID to Arnold Ray and Amy Cathrine Robbins North. He grew up in Stone, ID and graduated from Malad High School. In 1962 he moved to Ogden, UT.

Garry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was physically handicapped after suffering from a stroke causing paralysis on his left side.

Garry retired from Enable Industries after working there for many years.

He loved counting coins especially quarters. He enjoyed stacking Lego blocks, putting small jigsaw puzzles together, and watching John Wayne movies.

Garry is survived by his brothers, Gordon A. North, North Ogden; Donald R. North, Erda; and Dean L. North, Ogden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Lorin Farr 2nd Ward, 480 7th Street . Friends may visit with family on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
