William was known as W. Richard Duffy. His friends and close business associates called him Dick; at work he was known as Mr. Duffy or just plain Duffy.

Mr. Duffy is the son of William T. and Martha E. (Hurlock) Duffy. He grew up at North Park Avenue and 394 Starin in the City of Buffalo, New York with his identical twin brother, Donald. Mr. Duffy's brother, Don, also worked in downtown at Kleinhans, an elite men's store, in Buffalo, New York. If you were out at lunch time and saw one of them on the street, you could not tell which brother it was you were saying hello to.

Mr. Duffy married Jean Roth and together raised their children: Eileen, Michael, Colleen, Timothy (4/4/60-8/15/17) and Peggy.

Mr. Duffy loved to listen to office gossip at Ferguson Electric, especially if he saw two or three people together talking in a low voice, he would be right there beside them even if you were only discussing company business. He did not want to miss anything.

Mr. Duffy loved treats. He always had a stash of candy, pretzels, cookies, crackers, etc. in his suit coat pocket.

Mr. Duffy retired from Ferguson Electric as Executive Vice-President and Director in 1987.

Rest in Peace.
