Mrs. Evelyn Irene Day Brickett, age 77, of Ebro, Florida passed away July 11, 2014 at her home. She was born September 12, 1936 in Scanlon, Florida to the late Edgar Leonard Day and Bonnie Tulu Carter Day. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brickett was preceded in death by her husbands, Willard Singletary and Robert Brickett; one son, Ronnie Singletary; one son-in-law, Lafay Cooper; two sisters, Mary Williams and Alna Holliman.
Mrs. Brickett is survived by three daughters, Mecca Humphryes and husband Bill of Ebro, FL, Iris Cooper of Caryville, FL, Rose Prather and husband Tim of Youngstown, FL; one son, Sammy Singletary and wife Ketivia of Ebro, FL; two sisters, Bertha Clayton of Texas City, TX, Elma Taylor of Caryville, FL; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Vernon Evangelistic Church with Rev. Keith Mashburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Gunlock Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. Family will receive friends one hour before service.
