Wife of Robert Wilson, whom she married January 31, 1940 and daughter of James and Victoria Staccioli Maffei.

Yolanda M. Wilson, formerly of Cherry Street, Franklinville, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 while at the Pines in Machias. She was born March 9, 1922 in Franklinville, the daughter of James and Victoria Staccioli Maffei and lived there all her life.

Mrs. Wilson was employed at the Cattaraugus County Nursing Home in Machias from 1978 to 1991, from which she retired. She then worked part time there until 1997. In retirement she enjoyed photography and loved taking photos of babies,m senior pictures and did several wedding memories.

Surviving is a son, Tony (Sherry) Wilson of Arcade, two daughters, DiAnne Gagliardi of St. Mary's, Ga., and Sandy (Charlie) Rich of Clay; a daughter-in-law, Rene' Wilson of Franklinville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a cousin, Millie Amitrano of Franklinville. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Wilson in 2011; a son, Dale Wilson in 2012; and brothers, Norman and Albert Maffei.

Friends may gather with the family from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main Street, Franklinville where her Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. A luncheon for friends and family to follow at the VFW Post 9487 in Franklinville. Interment will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery in Franklinville. The family would like to give thanks to the nurses and staff at The Pines in Machias for their excellent care and compassion.
