Charles Maney of Tellico Plains passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a Monroe County School Bus Driver for over 30 years. One of his greatest joys in life was driving the athletic bus to all the Tellico Bears and Lady Bears football, basketball, and baseball games. Charles and his wife, Shelby, shared a passion of love and giving unto others, together they started the Charles Maney Ministry in local nursing homes over 20 years ago. The Druid Hills Singers has joined in this ministry sharing God�s love through message and songs to the residence of Etowah Health Care and Woods Presbyterian Nursing Home. He loved to ride his motorcycle, he and Shelby enjoyed many road trips together. He attended Druid Hills Baptist Church.

He was 71.

Preceded in death by: his parents, Clarence and Allie Dell Maney; mother-in-law, Josie Lynn; brother Randell Maney and sister Meredith Hill.

Survivors include: wife of 51 years, Shelby Maney;

Daughters, Kim Trentham, Sharon Maney and fiance Tommy Moore;

Sons, Wayne Maney, Chris and Tammy Maney;

Grandkids, Caleb Maney and Alex Shultz, Chloe Trentham, Ryan Bookout, Clay and Riley Maney;

Great-granddaughter, Paisley Maney;

Brothers, Tommy, Earl, Jimmy, and Hugh Maney;

Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie McDaniel and Rev. Frank Kincannon officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m., Monday, July 14 and proceed to Hardshell Cemetery for the 11 a.m. committal service. Myers Funeral Home of Tellico Plains is in charge of services.
