Harrison McAvin, of Chicago, formerly of Springfield, died Sunday at his residence in Chicago. Mr. McAvin moved from Springfield to Chicago 20 years ago. He was a tower man for the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio railroad in Chicago.

He is survived by his wife, the former Josephine Kelly; one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Hayes, Chicago; one brother, Ernest McAvin, Springfield.

Funeral services at Bisch Memorial home with burial in Oak Ridge cemetery.
