Annie Williams was born in 1868, the first child of John Jason (J.J.) Williams and Lucinda Risinger Williams of Fayette and Washington Counties, Texas. In 1904, she was married to John Thomas Sykes in McLennan County, Texas, and they were the parents of a daughter, Dora/Doris Sykes. John Sykes was a Public Service electrician and they are known to have moved with his job and lived in such places as Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso, Texas; and in Pasadena, California. By 1940, Annie was a widow and living in Pasadena. She died in 1946, in Los Angeles, and was cremated. The placement of her ashes is not presently known.
NOTE: Annie Williams Sykes had an earlier marriage to Joe E. Blunn in Milam County, Texas. In 1900 they were living in McLennan County. No children are known by this marriage.
