Fay R. (Arnold) Conroy, 99, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, in UPMC St. Margaret. She was born Nov. 27, 2014, in Brackenridge, to the late John Arnold and Katherine (Kepple) Conroy. She had lived in the area all her life prior to moving to Buffalo Township eight years ago to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Fay was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, Natrona Heights. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, crossword puzzles, bingo and computer games. Survivors include her son, John (Karen) Conroy, of Moon Township; daughter, Fran (Tom) Shirey, of Buffalo Township; grandchildren, Patrick (Susan) Shirey, of South Bend, Ind., Forrest (Kristy) Conroy, of Morgantown, W.Va., and Caitlin Conroy, of Bellevue; great-grandchildren, Saige and Violet Conroy and Maria Shirey; caregivevers, Ruth Markwell, Janice Moore, Diane Conroy and Nancy Ballentine; and nieces, Dolores Linnon, Jane Bittcher and Shirley Schmuhl. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis T. "Bucko" Conroy, March 27, 1999; brother, John Arnold Conroy [last name Arnold, not Conroy]; and sisters, Anna Frantz, Dolores Montgomery and Betty Vitagliano. Special thanks to her caregivers. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688. A blessing service will be at noon Monday in the funeral home followed by Christian funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. in Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, officiated by the Rev. James Mazurek.
