Musician. He was Christian guitarist, singer, and producer who was co-founder of the Christian rock group DeGarmo & Key with keyboardist Eddie DeGarmo from Memphis, Tennessee. He is a direct descendant of Francis Scott Key, author of The Star-Spangled Banner. After retiring from Degarmo and Key, he served as the head of Ardent Records, and hosted a TV show. At the time of his death he had been serving as the pastor of The Love of Christ Church in Cordova, Tennessee.
