W.C. Dixon, 77 of Altoona passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014.

Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, Boaz Carr Chapel with interment in Snead Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation: 5 till 8 Friday, July 11, 2014 at Boaz Carr Chapel. Officiating: Bro. Red Rowan & Bro. Paul Lackey.

W. C. and Annie were celebrating their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary this month. He had been sharing this great milestone with everyone. He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren.

Wife: Annie Dixon
Sons: Scott Dixon, Michael Dixon (Carrie)
Daughter: Melissa Amos (Jason)
Grandchildren: John Sloan (Christy), Erin Sloan, Leah Sloan, Dawson Amos, Christen Amos
Brothers & Sisters: Myra Tidwell, Barrett Dixon (Marty), Ted Dixon (Paula), John Dixon (Judy), Mary Burton, David Dixon.

Parents: Ralph & Bobbie Lou Dixon, Brother: Keith Dixon

W. C. had been in the tire business for over fifty years. He enjoyed talking with his customers and sharing life stories with them. His favorite hobbies were fishing and playing guitar with friends and family.

Pallbearers: Dawson Amos, Randall Green, Clark Dixon, Jamie Dixon, Danny Dixon, Sid Tidwell, Mark Dixon, Travis Mizell.

Honorary Pallbearers: Employees of Dixon Tire & Service Center, Current & former members of The West End Bass Club, all fishing buddies, friends & customers of Dixon Tire & Service Center.
