Abernathy-Man Dies As Result Of Stroke
ABERNATHY, July 14. (Special. - - A reisdent of Abernathy for 25 years, Andrew Thomas Johnston, 63, manager of People Ice company here, died at 7:15 o'clock tonight after suffering a stroke this afternoon.
Rites had not been arranged. The body is in Sanders Funeral home at Lubbock.
Johnston had been in ill health for about a year, it was reported.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Pharmicist Mate 3/C Thomas Johnston, San Francisco, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Ted Watts, Abernathy, Mrs. Wright Williams, Charleston, S. C., Mrs. Howard Brown, Levelland, Mrs. Don Bradley, Lubbock, and Miss Ann Johnston, Long Beach, Calif.
