Baron Cooper "B.C." Walker

Baron Cooper "B.C." Walker, 85, died at his residence on, June 13, 2003. He was born to the union of Leona Audie and Albert Alfred Walker on March 11, 1918, in Galveston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Cooper Baron and Katherine Walker; and Ms wife, Margaret Ross Walker.

He spent several years in Aransas Pass, returning to Galveston in 1939. He worked in the West Texas Oil Fields, and two years in the Mexico Oil Fields. In 1942, "B.C." served in the U. S. Navy. He worked at Todd Shipyard before going to Monsanto as a. boilermaker with 34 years of dedicated service.

"B.C." was a man who enjoyed people, ci'uises, and the Galveston Band Concert. On March 29, 1955, Baron became a member of the El Mina Shrine. He also belonged to the Scottish Rite, Harmony Lodge 6, El Mina Temple Motor Patrol, and was a member of the Mini Patrol, which he enjoyed very much. Baron was a very loyal Shriner. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church.

"B.C." is survived by his sister, Leona Scott, of Clear Lake; nephews, Jerry Scott and wife, Gloria, of Houston; Robert Scott and wife, Sandra, of Tampa, Florida; niece,
Jane Brown and husband, Carl, of Clear Lake; greatnieces
and nephews; and companion, Lillian Mayes, of Galveston.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 16, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. Harmony Lodge #6 AF & AM will
conduct a Masonic service as part of the funeral service. Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Scott, Preston D'Albergo, John
Trevathan, Richard "Sonny" Broome, Scott Travis, Grant Mock, William Coltzer, and Frank P. Williamson. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Bohn, David Frank, and William "Bill" Brossman.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Hospice Care Team nurses, Paulette, Linda, Kelly, anil Robert; and also to "B.C.'"s caregivers, James White, James Hilton, Elisa Gibson; his very special neighbor, Lee Cristelli, and especially to Frank Williamson, "B.C."'s longtime friend.
