Gilbert L. Clark
Valparaiso -- Gilbert L. Clark, 75, of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, October 30, 1997 at Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 21, 1922 in Valparaiso, the son of James and Lula (Bull) Clark. He was a receiving and shipping manager retiring from Sears in 1983. He was an Army veteran of WW II, a P.O.W. in WW II, and a member of the American Legion Post #502 of South Haven. On July 14, 1946 in Valparaiso, he married Gladys Sims who preceded him in death August 14, 1979. Surviving are two daughters, Pat Adams and Nancy Clark-Arndt, both of Valparaiso; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Morgan, October 5, 1997, and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 1, 1997 at 1 p.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home in Valparaiso, IN., Pastor Gene Tanner officiating. Burial in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be Friday, October 31st from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Legion services at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Harborlights Hospice in Merrillville.
