DR. J.B. GRESHAM DIES
Dr. J.B. Gresham, father of Mr. Will Gresham, died at his home in West Point Tuesday night, and the remains were brought to Columbus yesterday at noon for interment in Friendship cemetery where the funeral services were held, Rev. G. H. Easley, pastor of the Christian church, officiating.
Dr. Gresham was about 90 years of age and had been in feeble health for some years. Several weeks ago he contracted pneumonia to which he succumbed. The deceased was well known among the older citizens of Columbus where he has been a frequent visitor and he was highly respected and prominent as a physician. Early in life he began the practice of medicine in Prairie Point, Noxubee county, where he lived until after the war. About thirty years ago he moved to West Point, which had since been his home.
Dr. Gresham was a half-brother to Mrs. Sue Gilmer McGhee. His wife died ten years ago. He was twice married, his first wife being the mother of Mr. Will Gresham, his only son.
The pall bearers were: Messrs. S. B. Street, Sr., D. R. McClary, Jos. Peacher, W. S. Mustin, Emmett Craddock and Theo. Eggleston.

Joel Barnett Gresham was born in Oglethorpe County, Ga., September 2nd. 1824 and died at his home at West Point, Miss., December 29th. 1909. Dr. Gresham was of colonial ancestry, his paternal grandfather having been a colonel, and his maternal a captain, in the revolutionary army.
