ADEL - A funeral for Ruby M. Stapes, 79, of Adel was held July 28, 1988 at Fisher Funeral Home at Adel. Mrs. Stapes died of a heart attack on July 24 at Craft Care Center at Panora. Burial was in the East Linn Cemetery at Redfield.
She was born at Bethany, Mo. and had lived at Adel most of her life. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Lilburn L. Stapes; a son, Robert Stapes of Des Moines; a daughter, Vivian McNally of Margate, Fla.; and two half brothers, James M. Sheaffer of Chadron, Neb. and Kenneth Sheaffer of Tonganoxie, Kan.
