Roy G. Altman, died Thursday morning at Methodist Hospital of injuries suffered Wednesday when he was struck by a car while crossing 116th Street in Fishers.
A former resident of Indianapolis, he moved to Bonita Springs, Florida in 1998. He worked at the F.C. Tucker Company for 35 years, retiring as the Chief Financial Officer.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marjorie Jane (née Pope) Altman; mother, Edith M. (née Diegel) Altman; and five children, Jeffrey (Karen), Jill (Peg), James, John (Amy) from Indianapolis and Julie Artz (Matthew) of Lafayette, Colorado. He also is survived by six grandchildren. Other survivors include his brothers and sisters, Lee Altman, Don (Dorrie) Altman, Amy (Tom) Slocum, and Beverly (Charles) Slais.
He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Jodie Altman; and his father, Arthur L. Altman.
A Penn State graduate, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs and the Spanish Wells Golf and Country Club of Bonita Springs.
