Raymond Guy Lowry, 78, of Waco, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at his home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Van Vowell officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Raymond was born in Waco, Texas, to the late John and Ruth Lowry. He was employed for many years by Downing Brothers Construction Company and also Loop 340 Construction. He was an active member of American Legion Post 121 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and most of all, a loving father.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Eldon Lowry.

Survivors include his sons, Derrick Lowry and wife, Missy, of Waco, sons, Bubba Thomason and wife, Pam, of Waco, and Glenn Lowry; daughter, Patty Nevarez and husband, Frank, of Waco; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, G.R. Lowry, of Lorena; sister, Johnnie Ruth Crelia, of Lorena; and several nieces and nephews.
