Fred was very tall, 6'10", and he worked as an electrical engineer. During World War II he worked for Lockheed in Burbank on the P-38 Lightning landing gear.

Fred and Betty were married on 4 Aug 1945 in Pasadena and had no children of their own but later adopted two children. He was a Freemason and Shriner and he worked for Philips Electrical for a few years before moving to Parsons Electrical.

He designed all of the electrical plans for the "Star Tours" ride at Disneyland and many other projects for many companies around the world.
