Obituary:
S/Sgt. John Henry Freeman, 41, of the U. S. Air Force, formerly of Screven County, died in Taiwan, January 6, 1961.

Funeral services with full military honors was at the Jarrell Funeral Home Chapel here, with the Rev. King I. Evans and a chaplain from Hunter Air Force Base officiating. Burial was in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Sergeant Freeman was survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Davis Freeman; his father & stepmother, Mr. & Mrs. Fred N. Freeman of Sylvania; two half brothers, Ralph W. Freeman of Griffin, GA, and Calvin Freeman of Augusta; three half sisters, Mrs. C. J. O'Quinn and Mrs. D. L. James, both of Savannah, and Mrs. M. A. Mock of Baxley, GA.
Johnny Freeman, a military man served in the US Army then served in the US Air Force. He died of a cerebral hemorrhage while serving his country on either the island of Formosa or Taiwan. He was married to Mildred Davis.
