D0LA - Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eagle Creek Church of the Brethren for Lida B. Alger, 77. She died Sunday evening of injuries sustained in a car-truck accident near Dunkirk.
She was born Sept. 20. 1905, in Perry Township, Allen County, the daughter of Henry and Theodosia Bradford Freed. On Nov. 24, 1927, she married Lee B. Kimmel, who died Dec. 21,1972. On Sept. 25, 1975, she married Carroll I. Alger, who survives. Mrs. Alger was a former school teacher and homemaker. She was a
member of Eagle Creek Church of the Brethren and New Stark Community Social Circle. Survivors also include five sons, three daughters, 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rev. Luke B. Bowser will officiate for the services. Burial will be in Eagle Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at Crates Funeral Home in Arlington after 7 tonight and after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Eagle Creek Church of the Brethren.
