Elizabeth C. Greathouse, daughter of William and Sarah Greathouse, was born April 18, 1881. She was converted under the preaching of Rev. S.D. Vincent at Cedar Junction in March, 1902. She was united in marriage J.M. Scott, May 21, 1902. She departed this life March 16, 1905, being 23 years, 10 months and 28 days old. Her health had been failing for nearly a year and toward the last nine weeks she had been confined to her bed with tuberculosis.
She leaves a bright little two-year-old child to brighten her husband's dark hours. I was told that she lived a true Christian, say: "I am ready and am going home."
The funeral services were conducted by the writer at the home on Cedar Creek, March 17, 1905, and then she was laid to rest till Christ's coming in the De Soto Cemetery.
