Mrs. Pearl F. Majors

ELLWOOD CITY -- Mrs. Pearl Foreman Majors, 85, of 101 State Ave., Ellport, died at 11:25 p.m. on Wednesday in the Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle after a two year illness.

She was born in Lawrence County, near Portersville, on Feb. 8, 1890 to the late John S. and Mary Francis Foreman.

Mrs. Majors was a member of the United Christian assembly Church of Hooversville, Pa.

Her husband Abner Majors died in 1953.

She is survived by two daughters, Miss Mary M. at home, and Mrs. Donald (Donna) Hockenberry of Ellwood City RD 2 and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Jessie L. in 1925 ; a brother Charles V. Foreman in 1958; two sisters, Miss Mertilla E. Foreman in 1941 and Mrs. Lydia C. Wimer in 1956.

Friends will be received at the Kenneth C. Turner Funeral Home, 500 Sixth St., from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Friday. The service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Richard F. Lambert of the church. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
