Note from Army Corp of Engineers on removal of bodies from cemeteries that would be covered by the water of Comanche Lake: Hill, H. L. W: Aged 35 years. California Pioneer reinterred from Poverty Bar Cemetery. Remains reintered to family plot at Lodi Memorial Cemetery, Lodi, CA., Oct 1962 with Tag Number 119. Mr. Hill's monument was repaired and reset at the Pioneer Cemetery. "Remember me as you pass by, as you are now, so once was I. As I am now, you soon will be, prepare for death and follow me." His remains were reinterred from Poverty Bar, Camanche to the family plot at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. Tag Number 119.
This makes it clear that only his monument is in the Pioneer Cemetery and his remains are in the family plot in Lodi.
