Chester C. "Chet" Clark, 66, formerly of Fort Wayne, died Sunday evening at the family residence, 514 1/2 S. Brotherton St., following an extended illness.
Born at Forest, Ind., Mr. Clark graduated from Forest High School and later lived in Fort Wayne for many years prior to coming to Muncie three years ago. He served in the European Theatre with the Army during World War II.
Mr. Clark was employed as an automobile salesman in Fort Wayne prior to his illness. He was a member of the American Legion and Odd Fellows.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Frencher Clark; a son, Jim; three step-daughters and a step-son; a sister, Mildred Jean Ferguson; four grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Meeks Mortuary with Rev. Herbert J. Miller, pastor of the East Sixteenth Street Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in the American Legion section of Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and any time prior to the services Wednesday.
