Jim was in the United States Marine Corps, serving two terms in Vietnam. He retired from the service in 1971. After his military service he went to work for the United States Postal Service until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Vera (Ellis) Bonds and one brother, Gary Bonds.
He is survived by two daughters, five grandchildren and two brothers.James R. Bonds passed away at the age of 76.
