Hollie Cepek, 99, of Harvard passed away Friday at Valley High Nursing Home. She was born in Big Foot, IL to John J. and Edna (Timming) Hawver. Hollie married Gilbert W. Cepek May 19, 1951 in Harvard, IL. Hollie worked a short time at Admiral Corp, but preferred being a homemaker, tending a garden and canning much of the produce. Hollie was a great help to her parents. Hollie loved doing embroidery and made a quilt of state birds. She embroidered many tablecloths and pillow cases. Hollie also liked to do latch hook and made several beautiful wall hangings. Hollie was a member of the first Presbyterian Church in Harvard for 68 years. A member of the church JU Club, E.O.W and Presbyterian Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Henry, John Jr., Carroll and Donald, a sister Jeanette Weiss, and two nieces.
