She was a member of Central United Methodist church, where she taught Sunday school for 35 years.
Mrs. Braswell was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a former member of Toast Mistress Ass.

Survivors: sisters, Mrs. Fred (Edna) Gaeke, Esther Groth, and Mrs. Delona (Alyda) Shiplett all of Waco TX, Mrs. Otto (Agnes) Morris Of Dallas TX, Mrs. Edwin (Louella) Arnold of Big spring TX, and Mrs. Floyd (Annette) Warren of Austin TX; brothers, Herman Groth and Carl Groth both of Waco TX, Glenn Groth of Austin TX; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
