Bio:
He was the brother of Sarah E. Jacobs Goode who was one of the first African American women to receive a patent in for an invention of the USA. Son of Oliver Jacobs and Harriet Jacobs. His mother Harriet was an organizer of the Ohio Anti-Slavery Society in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.
Lincoln JACOBS was the youngest of Oliver and Harriet Jacob's children and was born after they moved from Toledo to Chicago, Illinois. Lincoln moved back to Toledo around 1895 and died in the city in 1917 as a widower.
Lincoln Jacobs was murdered along with his daughter Hazel Jacobs WERNER on the 27th of June 1917 at 1420 Noble Street in Toledo. His daughter had refused the marriage proposal of a Greek man with the surname of Jamieson, per the Toledo News Bee. The man produced a gun and shot/killed Hazel after she refused to marry him. Lincoln went to her aid and he was shot and killed as well before the murderer fled.
