Charging that after a quarter of a century of wedded life and after she had given birth to 19 children, her husband, Frank Faust, deserted her, Mrs. Susanna Faust of this city this morning through her attorney, Phil Wells, started suit for divorce.
The bill sets forth that one less than a score of children were the fruits of the marriage and declares that seven of the sons and daughters are still alive. The whereabouts of the husband, the says, is not known by the woman.
In the bill Mrs. Faust states that she was wedded to Frank Faust in Yellow Creek, Pa., on Aug. 28, 1880, and that the couple lived together for 26 years. She charges that on July 7, 1906, the husband deserted her.
Always Dutiful. She asserts that she had always proved a dutiful wife and had given him no cause to leave. Since he departed, the bill declares that he has remained away from her and that she does not know where he resides.
The seven children are: James, aged 30 years; George, 28; Samuel, 26, Mary, 24; John, 22; Martha, 19; and Wilda, 17.
The custody of Wilda is asked by the mother, she being the only minor child alive. At three different times, twins were born to the marriage.
Unusual Suit: The suit is unusual from the fact that the couple lived together for over a quarter of a century and reared such a large family.
It is presumed the suit will not be fought since the residence of the husband is not known and he has remained away from is wife for nearly nine years.
