Robert W. Allen, Jr., 83, of Olathe, passed away October 19, 2009. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula St., Olathe, KS 66061. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 23, at the funeral home, with burial following at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Robert was born June 6, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo., to Robert and Ruby Allen. He was a longtime member of the Faith Baptist Church, American Legion and VFW. Robert served our country proudly during WW II and the Korean conflict. In 1987, he retired from Gill Studios. He is preceded in death by his wife Lois and son Michael. Mr. Allen is survived by his sons Robert Allen III and wife Carol, Steven F. Allen, and David Allen; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
