He was employed at Ball Brothers Co. until a paralytic stroke in 1947 forced him to retire. He had been at the soldiers' home more than two years, but became seriously ill only a week ago. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Carothers and Mrs. Ruth Lee, both of Muncie, and Mrs. Roy Floyd, Titusville, Fla., and two brothers, Harlan and Loren Clements, both of Muncie.
Services will be at Piepho Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. R.J. Lavin in charge. Burial will be in the American Legion plot in Beech Grove Cemetery with the Legion conducting military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday after 4 p.m.
