Anne is not buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery. She was cremated and her ashes remain with Pamela Attkisson.

Anne Lee Landrum Attkisson of Richmond, wife of John Winifred Attkisson, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005. She was the daughter of the Late Dr. and Mrs. (Annie Lee Tulloh) Herbert William Landrum. Mrs. Attkisson taught piano for many years and served as organist to several Richmond churches. (Westhampton and Bretheran Church). She also taught the fifth grade at the New Broad Rock School and first grade at the Elizabeth Redd School. Later she taught pre-school at Mrs. Wallerstein's School and Deep Run Baptist Church. Mrs. Attkisson was a graduate of Randolph Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg and a member of Westhampton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Winifred Attkisson; a son, John William Attkisson of Montpelier; three daughters, Nancy Anne Attkisson McDaniel of Richmond, Virginia, Virginia Lee Attkisson (Ginger) Hudson and her husband Charles (Chuck) of Mechanicsville (Hanover County), and Pamela Lynne Attkisson Armbrecht and her husband Randolph (Randy) of Mechanicsville; six grandchildren, Tanya Marie Attkisson Lafoon and her husband Franklin (Frankie) , Miranda Anne and Christie Renee' Hudson, Ryan McDaniel and Alexandra Wyatt and Abigail Armbrecht; and two great grandsons, Tyler and Conner Lafoon.

The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Avenue. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Westhampton United Methodist Church 6100 Patterson Avenue. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center, 4202 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA 23227; Westhampton United Methodist Church; or the charity of your choice.
