-------
Mrs. Howard McBride, age 62 years, 6 months and 5 days, well known and highly respected citizen of Frankfort, died at her home 709 South East street, last night at 6 o'clock, death being due to a complication of diseases. The end came while she was at the supper table. Mrs. McBride had been ill for over a year and her death, although a great shock to her friends, was expected. No funeral arrangements have been made.

Alice Gamble was the daughter of Sarah and Robert Gamble and was born in the northern part of the county December 8, 1858, and spent the grater part of her girlhood near Frankfort. She was married to John T. Brown and to this union two children were born. On December 8, 1885, she was again united in marriage to Howard McBride, who survives her. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Thomas R. Brown of Wyoming, Delaware, and a daughter, Margaret C. Moore of this city. Three brothers, John Gamble of this city, J. E. Gamble of Louisville, Ky., and Elmer E. Gamble. Also, two sisters, Mrs. Ida Sharp, Louisville, and Mary Elmore of Indianapolis, survive her. Seven grandchildren also mourn her loss.

She was a member of the United Brethren church and was a faithful worker in church activities. She also was affiliated with the Beech Grove, Woodmen Circle, and was a member of the Birthday club.
