Frances " Fannie" Rebecca Upp is a daughter of Michael (born June 29, 1821, York County, PA, son of Peter and Susanna) and Nancy Blair Upp married January 19, 1845 in Williams County, Ohio. Nancy Blair Upp died January 1, 1867, Michael Upp died August 25, 1888.

The 1860 Milford, Defiance County, Ohio Census lists "Fanny", 3, with her parents "M" Michael Upp, 39, and wife Nancy, 29, with siblings: Henry, 11; Elizabeth, 9; Leslie, 7; William, 5, and James, 1.

Fannie married Martin Andrew Dowse December 12, 1877, in Williams County, Ohio.
