It is my guess that this man died in or prior to 1860.
The cemetery is named after him and the earliest buriel with a marked grave there is 1860.
Many of the graves in this small cemetery are not marked other than with a plain rock. Betty Fields McMillan, a daughter of Manley Fields, gave the information about the unmarked graves. The cemetery is on privately owned land, but accessible to visitors. The cemetery is located about 2 miles north of Windham Springs in Section 4, Township 18 South, Range 9 West (east of Highway 69). Windham Springs is about 20 miles north of Northport, Alabama on Highway 69.
