Frederick W. “Fred” Anderjaska, 88, Hayes Center, died Tuesday (Nov. 12, 1991) at Community Hospital in McCook.
He was a resident of El Dorado Manor in Trenton for the past two years.
He was born Oct. 23, 1903, in Frontier County, to Joseph W. and Anna (Jussel) Anderjaska.
At the age of 12 he worked for neighbors, picking corn and other farm duties.
He married Genevieve Traphagan July 25, 1933. They enjoyed 56 years of married life.
He was a farmer-rancher in Hayes County until his retirement. He liked hard work, caring for his horses and his well-kept machinery.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Hayes Center, and the McCook Elks Lodge No. 1434.
Preceding him in death were his wife in 1989; his parents; one brother, Joseph C.; and three sisters, Agnes Thieboldt, Julia Lyons and Eva Hinote.
Survivors include a son, Roland Frederick and wife Marilyn of Hayes Center; two daughters, Janice Barber of Los Alamos, NM, and Marilyn and husband Phillip Fornoff of Hayes Center; two sisters, Rose McKilip of McCook and Emma Hanners of Pocatello, Idaho; and 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
