He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edna Miersch Zieschang; his daughter, Carol Zoch; his brother, Monroe Zieschang; his sister, Irene Schwausch and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gilbert leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Mary Schubert and husband Victor of Jarrell, TX; son-in-law, Richard Zoch of Round Rock; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
